WOODLAY A combination underlay consisting of a 2mm rubber underlay laminated with a 300 micron moisture membrane made of virgin plastic. The Barrier underlay is suitable under laminate, wood and click vinyl flooring, forming a light cushion between the sub floor and the laminate flooring. The rubber underlay is not air foamed and will therefore not collapse over time. It also aids in smoothing out any unevenness on the sub floor and provides a degree of sound absorption and insulation and not sound reflection as per many other alternative underlays available. The Rubber underlay contains high density rubber crumb bonded with a latex formulation to be resistant to any leaching from the concrete, alkaline and sulphates thus preventing breakout of the rubber. The Moisture membrane, a milky white virgin plastic, laminated to the rubber underlay, has a 100mm overlap on the one side in accordance with industry regulations. The membrane, being of virgin origin ensures that there is no degradation of the membrane after installation.
